Week of Thanksgiving

We started Thanksgiving festivities at the Hostetlers’ last Saturday. It was a lovely evening with the blessing of good friends. Sunday we went the day at my dad’s for my grandpa’s 78th birthday. It was good to spend time there since we were out of town for Thanksgiving day. The work week quickly went by, and by Thursday we were on our way to Pittsburgh. This was the first time we had a completely filled car-me, Joe, Jillian, Paul, and Kingsley. Yes, we took Kingsley to Pittsburgh. I rode in the back with Jillian and Kman, as to not torture Uncle Paul. Kingsley was a bit obnoxious at first with his whining, but settled down once on the highway. We arrived safely to an excited house full of family. Dinner was good. We let Jillian feed herself some mashed potatoes, which resulted in a mess, of course. Our time there was pretty relaxed. Played some Apples to Apples, and for the record, you cannot trade red cards in if you feel like it! You are stuck with what you got, that is the fun of the game. We left Pittsburgh Friday evening and had a nice drive back. Kingsley didn’t whine at all, which is surprising since we took up most of his seat with a case of Yuengling (for those that care, we were informed that this product will soon be sold in Ohio). Thanksgiving was good. It is not my favorite holiday since I don’t much care for Turkey and all the fixing (I am strange, I know. I even made some mac and cheese while the turkey was cooking :) ), but we had a very nice time with friends and family. It is good to be reminded on all the blessings that we have!

Friends Thanksgiving :)
