Well today we had our first day at Ocean City that didn’t involve an 8 hour drive, unpacking and grocery shopping. We have had a great time so far with Tom and his wife Joy and their son William. It has been a real trip, and was awesome to finally meet Tom AKA Sarge AKA Sgt.LSD in person. He is one of Luke and my gaming buddies since back in the day of BF2, he’s been showing us around and hanging out for pizza and grilling out. Later this week we’re going to this awesome clam joint, I’m sure we’ll have more pictures for you after that meal. It has been really awesome to hang out and relax with family and friends. Today, Jillian saw the ocean for the first time!! We’re not sure she was too impressed, but she didn’t cry! We’ll post up a video or two tomorrow but for the time being I hope some pictures will suffice, being that the wife and child are sleeping and I’m not going to disturb the peace by barging in our room and turning all the lights on. We went to church today at the Methodist Tabernacle, and it was quite cool. Got to go to church with one of my gaming buddies, definitely not an every day experience! Before we went to church, we went to Browns doughnuts, however the line was pretty ridiculous and we would have been really late to the 10:30 service. So after an intense theological discussion we decided that God is more important than breakfast pastries and went to church, much to the dismay of the younger Will (Tom’s son). We’ll go back later. Then we came back to the house and took a rest, watched a little TV and went to the beach! We got to play football in the water and had a great time. Then we cruised back and grilled some burgers and were going to hang on the porch, but there were gnats a plenty so we decided that inside was much better. Also watched “Run fatboy Run” which ended up being hilarious. OK, so this is post one from the tired father, signing off.

Jillian’s Room Complete (for now)
Happy Half Birthday Jilli
Monday Fun
Today Jillian and I went for a walk to a few stores. It was hot outside on the way there, but thankfully it cooled off a bit on the walk back. I got Jillian some fruit strips and she LOVES them! Thanks for the recommendation, Hannah
Kingsley got a new bone, which he probably won’t chew on for a few days because he has some strange ritual of carrying new things around the house and dropping them at our feet. It makes no sense really. I found some beach towels for vacation-hooray! I was unsure I would be able to find any in the middle of August. Jillian ate a good amount of pureed peaches for dinner-very messy! And after dinner Jillian got to enjoy her new baby swing set which was given to us from some family. We have had a fun start to the week.
The walk made me hungry, yay for nachos
Kingsley is clearly not happy having to sit for a picture
The Fest
Last Sunday (August 9, 20009), I went to The Fest with one of my friends from high school. The Fest is a small Christian music festival in Wickliffe each year. It was super fun! Two bonuses were meeting Jars of Clay and meeting up with some friends from college. It was an all around good day, though it was terribly hot!
Happy 2nd Anniversary
Pittsburg Family Visit :)
Uncle Mike, Aunt Anita and Cousin Steve came to up to help Paul move to his new apartment. It was great spending time with family! We were able to have a couple meals together and catch up. Aunt Anita finally got to meet Jillian

Paul’s New Apartment- Very cool building! His neighbor says he calls it Alcatraz though…not sure what to make of that.
Old Intercom System/Buzzer
Murphy Bed Jail-When Uncle Mike and Joe get together the crazyness never stops!
Oh Joe, you make me laugh
Medina County Fair!
I have not been to the fair for years. I think the last time I went was in high school when I participated in the Royal Court Contest. Yes, it is true. I did not win, how could I when there are so many other girls who are “true fair goers/ 4-Hers for Life”? Oh well.
Joe, Jillian and I had so much fun this year at the fair. Jillian did so well and enjoyed the lights tremendously! The food was good and meeting up with friends was GREAT. We love all our friends. Joe got to take Jillian on her first ride ever, the Merry-Go-Round. And I got to ride the Musik Express with Hannah. Good times.
On Tuesday I went back to the fair with Sharon and Grandma. We had a good time. We were in search of the infamous Tex the Pony to get Jillian picture taken, but he did not come to the fair this year
But we did get to see other animals. Jillian really liked the bunnies, it was too cute!
MONDAY NIGHT
Yum! Elephant ears, probably my favorite fair food.
I am afraid of the Ferris Wheel, especially at the fair, but it looked like a cool shot.
Das Fun House!
