Save the date!

To my shame I have yet to post anything about the wonderful event that took place Sunday October 22, 2006. That evening at youth group we were in our third week of talking about relationships. The night was entitled “Are you in love?”. The youth leaders got up and talked about how they started dating. Joe and I told our story last, and Joe wrapped up our time with asking me to marry him! Yes, I was shocked! I was under the impression we were on the “5 year” plan (which was actually less than a 5 year plan, but you know what I mean…) The plan is now 10 months long and we have August 11, 2007 picked as our wedding day :)

Working Hard, Working from Home

Yes ladies and gentlemen, it’s not everyday that you are able to work at your full time job from home. Yet again, thanks to Baldwin Wallace’s incredibly cumbersome and overprotective network setup I was forced to find another internet solution. I had to work from home, I simply had to. Therefore, I spent my day working from the lovely office of Book and Bean located in Berea Ohio.

I enjoyed my various coffees tremendously, along with having lunch with the tremendously talented and beautiful girlfriend of mine: Sarabeth Centner. I had to use my personal phone to help a teller in Florida, but I suppose working from home is worth it, isn’t it?

Check out the office..don’t you wish you could work here? (And I don’t mean serving coffee).

SB and I also went to the lovely costume party hosted by the Summers, in celebration of Allyson’s birthday. I went as grapes and SB was a cowgirl. Sadly, I have no pictures of this event. I must hope that someone else posts them and I can link to their blog. Allyson apparently didn’t like my costume enough to put it on her blog, but that’s OK. My feelings aren’t/weren’t hurt. I’m a tough man. Luke said he would put the video of me the dancing grapes on his blog, but that isn’t yet a truth. We shall see how fast that unravels.

Time for a break here in Astronomy of the Solar system. I think I’ll get a coke.

Goodbye Matt and Drew

Matt and Drew who I’ve known since freshman year of college are going to Africa! They are committing two years to missions and going to some country they are not allowed to speak of. They will certainly be missed, but it is awesome to see them following God’s call. Pray for them.
This is Drew.

And this is Matt (and me).

Woes of Blogger and More…

I’ve been attempting to post some pictures and Blogger is not cooperating (now don’t be fooled, Blogger did let me post the picture below, but for unknown reasons I can’t post the others I want). Hopefully things will be better soon. All else is well at Baldwin-Wallace. I haven’t posted lately because of the busyness of classes, research projects, homework, work, Crusade, and ResLife that consumes my time. Recently it has hit me that I only have this and next semester to enjoy what is BW. There has been a few times over the past couple weeks where I begin to choke up thinking that my time here is coming to an end. I honestly can say that I love Baldwin-Wallace and I am so glad that I came here. College has been the best years of my life thus far.

Photography Adventures

My friend Tara and I are in Digital Photography class together. It is definitely a worthwhile class, although it lasts three hours on Monday nights. Tara and I have been traveling away from campus to get some “sweet” shots, it hopes that our teacher will approve and give us an A. On our first adventure we went to tower city and walked around the surrounding blocks, passed a scary ally where Tara said “Don’t worry I know some moves I learned from Buffy”- thanks Tara, that took away any trepidation I had. Here are a few of the shots:

Our second adventure took us to Conventry. Tara swore she knew how to get there, and she did, but it was a reeeaaallly loooonnng way. We walked around for awhile, explored some of the shops, and then I dropped my camera. I thought it was broken and I almost threw a fit. I immediately called Joe, who was on his way to Pittsburgh. I was whining a lot about my camera, good thing Joe is a good listener. After my camera’s tragic fall we decided to head back to campus, and we took a much faster way back. Lucky for me, Joe called Luke who said that a similar thing happened to his camera- the lens was stuck. I just tapped the lens and miraculously my camera was brought back to life! Thanks Luke!

Only that one picture will load for some reason, slightly frustrated, but I’ll get over it :)
